Explanation

This document produced by Goryeong County’s Smoking Cessation Association for National Debt Repayment lists cash and material donations by some 150 local residents, including women who gave away their rings. It also contains an official note sent to the movement’s headquarters by Lee Jung-yeop, director of the association’s donation collection office, vice director Lee Bong-jo, and other officials. In the note they request the headquarters to announce that 1,830 won has been raised in Goryeong County through a newspaper ad, saying they would pay the advertising fee once notified how much it would cost. This is a useful material for understanding the public campaign to repay the national debt at regional level.
