Explanation
An Eung-chil (An Jung-geun) says he had no relations with the Daehan Maeil Sinbo other than that he made a donation through the newspaper for the National Debt Redemption Movement. He also says that its publisher Ernest Bethell is a great foreign benefactor of Korea who has devoted himself to the development of Koreans’ patriotic sentiment and educational advancement. An killed Ito Hirobumi on October 26, 1909 and was executed on March 26, 1910.
